Wynne Brown coordinates publications for Science Approach, develops lessons, and serves as a project director. She holds a B.S. in studio art from Skidmore College, an interdisciplinary M.S. in biology/scientific illustration from the University of Arizona, and an M.S. in communications from the University of Tennessee. She has conducted biological research on native honeyeaters in Australia and on intertidal zone wolf spiders in the Gulf of California. Ms. Brown also taught at the School of Journalism at the University of Tennessee and spent five years as a copy editor/staff writer at The Knoxville (Tenn.) News-Sentinel. She was associate project director and primary author for Guiding Light: Lessons in Imaging and Optics for the Information Age and editor of Discovering Image Processing (v.2.0). Currently, she directs CIPE's SIMPLE Science and VISIONES projects, and co-directs Science Approach's VISION project. |
