On April 17, 2008, Dr. Moore described the CoastLines project's recruitment efforts during a teleconference entitled "Participant Recruitment & Retention/Marketing: Strategies for recruiting and retaining project participants, and for marketing your project to the community." The session for principal investigators managing projects in the National Science Foundation's Innovative Technologies for Students and Teachers (ITEST) program was conducted by the Educational Development Center's ITEST Learning Resource Center .
