SIMPLE Science is a free online collection of 15 supplementary standards- and inquiry-based science activities that allow middle-schoolers to investigate, manipulate, and explore authentic images.

 SIMPLE Science    

• was created by Science Approach's sister organization, the Center for Image Processing in Education (CIPE),

• includes topics such as biology, medicine, Earth and space science, digital literacy, and social science,

• features WebImage, an online version of ImageJ, an image processing program used by scientists around the world,

• is an acronym for Simplified Image Management and Processing Learning Environment for Science,

• was funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and is a part of the National Science Digital Library (NSDL) and the Digital Library for Earth System Education (DLESE).
